Many think of Ecology in big issue terms, Global Warming, the diminishing Ice-Caps, the Amazonian Rain Forests, the Ozone Layer, top level Politicians and summit meetings. But think of the county of Cumbria, the Lake District, Northumbria and the border country, Yorkshire and the Dales, Lancashire, Cheshire and Derbyshire, could global warming and all these other 'nasties' effect these counties and all other counties in Britain, and the answer is yes they could if we do not learn about and treat the planet earth and the environment with respect and understanding.
All of us need to know that which affects our planet and what not to do. We should consider ecology as a major subject in the education system and at primary level same as reading writing and arithmetic.
We are allocating this space to a variety of scenic areas which we intend illustrating as they are now and what they could turn into.
When we have completed a collection of comparisons same as those below we will exhibit them in various counties in Britain.
The devastated images below are imaginary and are examples of what could happen.
The Rainforest image and the image next to it, Devastation, has already happened in several countries, the Grasmere image and the barren waste next to it could happen, Whinlatter and the scorched earth next to it could happen as could the Corridor.
